Online homework - reflective essays on various contents (videos, specific cases, online campaigns or programs) critical review of existing prevention or treatment programs in the field of safe use of the Internet
written exam - online test with questions after the course

The course will include direct synchronous video communication with students via digital tools as well as asynchronous forms of assignments on the moodle system.
Student requirements are regular attendance and fulfillment of obligations on the platform for e-learning, active participation in interactive exercises and preparation and submission of assignments through online system for e-learning. |

Teil 1: Social work in virtual environment (Seminar), WS 2021/22-SoSe 2022, online, March, April and May 2022- in agreement with students. The proposed time of class is Thursday at 13.00h by Central European Time (CET) (UTC +1), with possible changes due to collisions of student schedules
Teil 2: Social work in virtual environment (eLearning), WS 2021/22-SoSe 2022, online, Asynchronous time division
Course objectives are to introduce students to the possibilities of contemporary helping practices through modern technologies, new risks in an online environment, and specific ethical standards in the use of modern technologies in professional practice. During the course of the module, the following topics will be addressed and developed: Impact of technology on everyday life, Social networks, Problematic Internet use: Internet violence, internet addiction, online gambling, online gaming, online sexual exploitation of children, Online environment and technology use in helping practices, Ethics of professional practice in online environment
Inhaltliche Beschreibung Teil 1: In the first part of the module, online seminar sessions are to be held after prior preparation through literature. In these seminar sessions, the various topics of the module are to be discussed and debated.
Inhaltliche Beschreibung Teil 2 : In the second part of the module, students are to deepen the knowledge acquired in the sessions through eLearning. To do this, they must on the one hand link new content with previous content. In addition, various tasks must be completed. |

The module contributes to the development of critical thinking of students, ability to work independently and effectively work in a team, the ability of oral and written presentation of the results of work and respect for diversity and multiculturalism. |
