Inhalt Teil 1 und 2: Practices in Corporate Environmental Management (seminar), Tuesdays from October 3rd 2023 until January 23rd 2024, hours: 11:30-13:00 This course provides an overview of the principles, practices, and policies related to environmental management. Students will learn about the current global environmental challenges and explore how organizations can adopt environmentally sustainable practices in their operations. Inhaltliche Beschreibung Teil 1 und 2: Through lectures, case studies, and interactive class discussions, students will gain a deeper understanding of the impact of human activities on the environment and the various strategies that organizations can use to minimize their ecological footprint. The course will also cover the regulatory frameworks that govern environmental management, including environmental laws and regulations, and the role of government agencies and other stakeholders in promoting sustainability. Key topics covered in the course include environmental risk assessment, pollution prevention, waste management, sustainable product design, energy efficiency, and environmental auditing. environmental goals.
Lernziele Students will also learn how to measure and report on environmental performance using tools such as life cycle assessment, carbon accounting, and sustainability reporting.
