Teil 1 und 2: Computers in human behaviour, Online Course, timetable, tba
The aim of this course is to present the latest research in cyberpsychology, a branch of psychology that delves into people's online activities and their potential impact on mental well-being. As the new information and communication technologies, including Artificial Intelligence, become increasingly prevalent in today's society, understanding their role is paramount. Throughout the lectures, various behaviors exhibited in cyberspace will be explored within the framework of psychological and sociological theories, alongside ICT technologies. The course will feature thematic blocks focusing on online activities that support personal development, enhance mental well-being, and promote responsible use of cyberspace. Additionally, there will be thematic blocks addressing online activities that pose risks to mental well-being and the safety of other users. The course will also cover the fundamentals of psychology and artificial intelligence, providing a comprehensive understanding of these interconnected fields. |
Lernziele |
Knowledge: after the course, the student is able to explain basic terms in the field of cyberpsychology, characterize the influence of cyberspace on mental well-being and behaviors, and define the opportunities and threats of cyberspace on mental well-being.
Skills: the student is able to describe the influence of cyberspace on mental well-being and behaviors, describe current research areas in cyberpsychology, use the Internet, artificial intelligence tools, and social media in an aware and responsible manner, and recognize the symptoms of dangerous online behaviors.
Attitudes / Competencies: the student has an awareness of cyberspace’s influence on well-being and behaviors, the ability to use the Internet, artificial intelligence tools, and social media in a safe and responsible manner, and the ability to analyze the possibilities and restrictions of cyberspace activities. |
